We slept well with the family in Lat Krabang.

Pia wants to go to Bangkok today, that is to say to the Chao Phraya near Wat Po.
The idea is to go to a good massage and to look around there for dried shrimp and salted fish.

Moue takes us to the Airport Link station in Lat Krabang. There we buy tickets, well coins, to Makasan station. It's busy on the train.
At Makasan walk over pedestrian bridges to Phetchaburi Metro station. There we buy tickets (no coins!) again and take the metro to Sanam Chai station.
Next to the exit we see the Museum Siam, where there is a free exhibition about Thainess, nice to look around here.
We eat something at a restaurant on the grounds of the museum, Siam Origins. It is tasty and surprising, highly recommended.
Next we look for massage. First we walk to Wat Po, but we have to pay THB 300 entrance fee there, and then also for the massage. We don't like that.
We hear that there is also a Wat Po massage branch outside Wat Po, and after half an hour of searching we find it. There is a waiting time of one and a half hours. And we don't like that either.

We start looking for the boat to Thonburi, the Chao Praya Express Boat, and it takes a lot of searching again.
We finally find a boarding point for that boat, close to the entrance of the metro station where we came out. It is busy on the boat, but fun, you get a completely different impression of Bangkok, and it is quite cool on the water.
In Thonburi we go straight back, with the last boat.

At the Maharat pier we get off the boat to eat at a restaurant that used to be there.
Now it is a shopping center where it is very busy, but we find a restaurant along the water, Savoy Tha Maharaj, where we enjoy to eat. It is busy and the food is pricey, but the location is beautiful.

We take a taxi to the metro station, take the metro and the airport link to Lat Krabang.
And then we take a taxi home, the door is locked, but when we ring the bell we are let in.
